Private Client Lawyer
Coodes LLP is one of the leading law firms in Cornwall and Devon and the longest established firm in the region. With growing demand for our services an opportunity has arisen for a Private Client lawyer to join the team which consists of 15 specialist lawyers who advise clients on all aspects of managing their affairs. The department has been described by Chambers and Partners as “having a substantial regional presence” and “winning plaudits for its wills, trust and probate work” with a “growing Court of Protection and elderly client focus”.
What you will do:
Subject to your skills and experience, you will advise on and deal with the drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration and Elderly Client matters generally.
Qualifications you need:
We would be pleased to receive applications from Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, or lawyers / paralegals with qualifying experience in a Private Client setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience you need:
- Thorough knowledge of the legal principles required to draft Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, deal with the Administration of Estates and Elderly Client matters generally
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work alone as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
- Must be able to travel (in county)

Location
We are open to discussion regarding which of our eight locations best suits you. In addition to our offices, the firm aims to enable as many staff as possible to incorporate an element of remote work into their working week if they so wish.
Hours
This is a full-time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
