Junior Lawyers Division
The Junior Lawyers Division of the Cornwall Law Society represents trainee solicitors and junior qualified solicitors and CILEx members up to 5 years PQE
Who we are
Cornwall Junior Lawyer Division (JLD) represents the junior lawyers of Cornwall, up to 5 years PQE, and ensure the voice of Cornwall’s junior lawyers is heard at Cornwall Law Society committee meetings and also at national level.
It is a separate, and independent organisation, from Cornwall Law Society, although we work closely together and are highly supported by them. We are led by a committee of volunteers who are all themselves junior lawyers living and working in Cornwall.
The committee is now made up of:
Chair | Clare Hall | CVC Solicitors
Vice Chair | Yasin Ahmed | Coodes Solicitors
Treasurer | Charles Oliver | Stephens Scown
University Representative | Lexi Williams | Stephens Scown
National Representative | Ema Vaitkute | Stephens Scown
Social Secretary | Megan Eton | Stephens Scown
What do we offer?
We offer a range of social activities and training events to our members such as burger nights, quiz nights, wellbeing events, CV advice, and talks from judges.
Becoming a member of Cornwall JLD also entitles you to become a member of Cornwall Law Society.
Keep up-to-date with forthcoming events by visiting the JLD Facebook page
